Merry merry

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here and I love it! Decorations are being put up and Santa’s sugar cookies are baking, yum. Hope your Holidays are lovely and warm!

Almost done

I’ve been bogged down with homework for the whole summer, which isn’t exactly my idea of fun or the ideal summer situation, so I’m so so happy to say that this week is finals week then I’m done done done!(sigh of relief…..) I have lots of photos + stories I’m dying to share when I have a little more time, so please excuse my sporadic presence and sit tight,…..pretty please of course.

I need my studio

So we’ve been building this studio/guest pad space for the past year(yeah, it’s in the “way too many projects going at once” category), but we’re finally getting down to the nitty gritty of finishing it and I am shaking with anticipation for the okay to move my stuff in. You see with me, I’m constantly dreaming up ideas and things to do or make, but my creativity and drive gets snuffed when I have to hunt + gather around the house for what I need, not only does it take FOREVER, but I usually end up frustrated from not finding the last thing I needed(hello rotary cutter that’s you). It’s not that I have horrid organization skills it’s that storage space is limited, so all these goodies end up under my bed, in my closet vying for space with my clothes, + I’m embarrassed to admit but I even have some in my kiddos rooms in their closets. Alright you get it – I’m overloaded here. How do you stay organized?

I love gudy

My longtime friend Gudrun is up visiting from Austin, TX en route to Hawaii to work on a cruise ship for 5 months…lucky lucky girl…I’m super happy for her, but I will miss her…looks like I have another reason to go back to Hawaii! yeessss!

Patches + Pie

Summer is here and although I’m busier than I’ve been in years(no joke – full time school, two amazing kiddos, husband, pets, friends…you get the idea), I’ve been taking time to do things I really enjoy. Because of this busyness I haven’t been able to get back to everyone who’s emailed + contacted me recently, but don’t fret, I haven’t forgotten about you + will get back to you quick like! Pinky swear.

I’m back! Yay! Not that I ever really left, but I did have a small surgery + am recovering + healing really well(thank the Lord!). I have lots to talk about but it’s so late I’ve got to get to bed, but I’ll catch up super soon. While I was away my hair was driving me crazy so I decided bangs were just what I needed!

Lost

…I’m an avid Lost fan + have been for a while…I was a little late getting turned onto it, but since I put that first disc in I’ve become addicted!
So I’m super sad that the season finale is this Wednesday. It seems like this season just started….seriously bumming here…mostly because I won’t see this guys face every week….
